Library Programme | Whenever there is a test result that is close to trigger levels we need a quick way of identifying any product that has been harvested in that area. The library programme was developed for this purpose.

It requires that processors take and store numbered samples from each harvest. This information is stored on a database at the MSQP office so if there are any biotoxin or health queries the source of questionable product can be accurately and rapidly traced. Stored samples can then be checked and tested to determine the spatial and temporal extent of any event.

Our product is highly traceable. Any packaged product in the market can be traced. We can readily identify when the product was harvested, who harvested it and who the processor was, when it was processed, we can also trace when the product was seeded out, where the seed came from and many other events in the cycle of producing the product.
